Special anti-polio vaccination campaigns kick off in KP, Sindh and Balochistan

ISLAMABAD: Special anti-polio vaccination campaigns were kicked off in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sindh and Balochistan on Monday.

According to details, a five-day anti-polio campaign began in Peshawar, Khyber and Hangu districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Emergency Operation Center Khyber Pakhtunkhwa said that more than one point two million children up to five years of age will be administered anti polio vaccine drops during the campaign.

On the other hand, a week-long Polio eradication campaign also commenced in Karachi in which two point five million children up to five years will be administered with Polio drops and 12,414 vaccination teams have been constituted for the purpose.

The campaign will continue till November 05, 2023.

Meanwhile, a special anti-polio vaccination drive also began in 10 districts of Balochistan.

According to Polio Emergency Operation Center, during the campaign about 7,80,000 children aged up to five years will be administered anti-polio vaccine drops.

Polio vaccination campaign is being conducted in Awaran, Dera Bugti, Gwadar, Hub, Jafarabad, Naseerabad, Sohbat Pur, Khuzdar, Lasbela and Usta Mohammad districts.
