Rohayl Varind, 19-year-old Pakistani wins World Summit Youth Award

Rohayl Varind, a 19-year-old from Pakistan has just won a World Summit Youth Award in Sao Paulo, Brazil, in what happens to be the world’s biggest summit for youth!

From 1898 submissions , 138 countries and 40 jurors from all over the globe, 18 projects were chosen that won the World Summit Youth Award 2014-2015.
 
Born in a modest Muslim family in Pakistan, Rohayl began developing deep faith in the humanity and its diversity at a very raw age.
But more so, he was appalled by what humankind was going through, not just his own home country Pakistan, but in the world too. Corruption, inequality, lies, apathy, crimes, injustice and what not.
Although, Rohayl could’ve shut all those feelings out and lived like an average teenager, he didn’t. In fact, he let them flow out from a very young age of 14.
Today, Rohayl is a well known symbol of social justice to thousands across Pakistan. With high hopes and dreams, he intends to make Pakistan a country, the Quaid had envisaged.
Metronome FeautreTo achieve his goals, Rohayl had to face many enemies and  hurdles but he was strongly determined to liberate his fellow Pakistanis from their miserable lives because of corruption, poverty and injustice that has crept into the roots of the country weakening its integrity.Along his journey towards peace, he has been through unimaginable turmoils and yet received unthinkable happinesses. It has been a path of not just giving smiles and affection, but also receiving blessings which otherwise would have been impossible.
Currently, he keeps treading the path of revolution to attain his objectives and principles for the betterment of mankind and his nation alike, while accomplishing new heights along the way.It might be hard to believe owing to his numerous social events, fund raisers, campaigns and protests, he is just a 19 year old boy with a dream to change Pakistan!

Moreover he also runs two non profit magazine as well. The sole purpose of the magazine is to potray Pakistani youth nationally and internationally.
The World Summit Youth Award is organised by the World Summit Award Network since 2003. Also, they organise the “European Youth Award” for young people around the world which focuses on youth using Internet and Mobile to take Action on the MDGs.
The WSYA Team is based at the International Centre for New Media (ICNM), an independent non-profit organisation in Salzburg, Austria. ICNM collaborates with over 100 organizations and institutions in multimedia technology and e-content creation industries in 35 European countries.
On a global scale the ICNM has initiated and is organising in 168 countries within the UN framework of the World Summit on the Information Society WSIS, the “World Summit Award” in cooperation with UNIDO, UNESCO, ITU, ISOC, UN GAID and UNDP.
