Altaf condoles Ghafoor’s death

KARACHI - Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain has expressed grief over the demise of senior leader Jamaat-e-Islami Professor Ghafoor Ahmed.
JI Naib Amir passed away on Wednesday night after a protracted illness at 85.
Ghafoor wa joined JI in 1950 and has been a federal minister, member National Assembly and a senator.
Paying tribute to late Prof Ghafoor, Hussain said he was a great politician who played an important role in the national politics.
“He did not let go of moderation and honesty till his last breath. He was a man of strong moral fibre, steadfast modesty and had deep understanding of political issues,” Altaf said.
Hussain offered condolences to the bereaved family members, leaders and workers of the JI.”
