KARACHI - Karachi police on Sunday claimed to have arrested a man allegedly involved in an armed attack on a UN vehicle during a polio immunization campaign at Sohrab Goth in Karachi on July 17.
A foreign doctor from Ghana and his driver were injured in the firing. According to the police, the suspect was apprehended in a raid near Indus Plaza in Sohrab Goth.
A triple-2 rifle and other weapons were also recovered from the suspect’s custody. He was shifted to an undisclosed location for interrogation.
