Soyem of SBP governor’s mother today

KARACHI - Begum Ismat Anwar, wife of Late Commodore Shaikh Mohammad Anwar and mother of Yaseen Anwar, Governor State Bank of Pakistan, was buried at old Army graveyard next to CSD, here on Saturday afternoon. She had passed away in Karachi on September 20. Her Namaz-e-Janaza was offered at PNS Shifa, DHA Phase -11 after Zuhar prayers on Saturday which was attended by a large number of senior bankers, State Bank's officers and staff and senior officers of Pakistan Navy. The soyem/quran khawani for Begum Ismat Anwar will be held on Sunday, September 23, between Asr-e-Maghreb prayers (5 pm-6:30 pm) at Bank House, 12 Fatima Jinnah Road, Karachi, an official of SBP said here on Saturday.
