PTI condoles workers’ deaths in protest

PTI FLAG

KARACHI - The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf secretary general has condoled the death of four party workers during yesterday’s protests. They were not involved in any violent action. In Karachi, Qari Khalid Khan, Kashif and Abrar left their homes in Kemari to reach the main peaceful PTI procession that was marching from Empress Market to Saddar, says a press release Saturday. Little did they know that their lives would be cut short. Khalid and Kashif died on the spot and Abrar succumbed to injuries later. Another PTI worker Mohammad Amir was killed in Peshawar. Imran Khan had appealed for peaceful protests and by and large tens of millions of people in Pakistan in every nook and corner of the country remained peaceful. PTI protested peacefully in more than 100 cities of Pakistan. This was because the leadership of the party was in the protesting crowd in every city and controlled the angry workers. There were some un-scrupulous elements within the general crowd who damaged public property and resorted to violent action. We condemn this hijacking of a peaceful protest day that was meant to show our love for the prophet, and sadly the ultimate memory of this day would be that of violence and deaths. Criminals who went on a looting and destroying spree cannot be the people who felt actual pain on the publication of the defamation videos.
FPCCI shows concern over ‘deaths and violence’: Haji Fazal Kadir Khan Sherani, FPCCI President, Tariq Sayeed, Vice President CACCI and former President FPCCI, SAARC CCI, SM Muneer, President, Indo-Pak CCI, Sheikh Haroon Rashid, Sheikh Shakeel Ahmad, Iqbal Dawood Pakwala, Begum Salma Ahmad, Vice Presidents FPCCI, expressed their sorrow and grief over the loss of precious lives and property on the day of Yaum-e-Ishaq-e-Rasool (SAW). They condemned the act of miscreants who sabotaged the peaceful observation of Yaum-e-Ishaq-e-Rasool (SAW). Haji Fazal Kadir Khan Sherani stated that Islam is the peace loving religion and Muslims should follow the teaching of peace of our Prophet Muhammad (SAW).
