Abducted trader recovered, kidnappers killed in retaliation

KARACHI - Two kidnappers were killed and an abducted trader recovered when police raided a house on Sunday. A police constable was also injured in the fire exchange.
According to details, the police on a tip off conducted raid at a house located in Sherpao Colony of Landhi to recover a kidnapped trader.
The culprits present in the house started firing at police and injured a police constable identified as Muhammad Hanif. In retaliatory fire, both the captors were critically injured and succumbed to their wounds later on in hospital.
The recovered cloth merchant Mohabbat Khan was kidnapped from Sohrab Goth on Sep 17 and was shifted to Landhi two days ago.
The police registered a case and started search for two accomplices of the accused killed in the fire exchange who were not present in the house at the time of the raid.
Five accused of violence held: Police on Sunday apprehended five accused involved in vandalism on Youm-e-Ishq-e-Rasool (PBUH) Day in the metropolis. Police said the accused were arrested from Boat Basin and were identified via CCTV videos.
