President PbOA reverses resignation decision
LAHORE - President, Punjab Olympic Association, Syed Shahid Ali Shah, has reverses his decision of resignation, ending a controversy that surfaced after his resignation last week. Shahid Ali presided over a meeting of the PBOb here on Thursday and his resignation was put forward in the meeting which unanimously requested him to reconsider his decision on which he agreed to withdraw it, said a spokesman of the body after the meeting. “Shahid's contributions for the cause of sports are known to everyone and he showed a good gesture to withdraw his resignation in the larger interest of the games “,he said. He said the meeting has fixed the dates of national Games which were postponed till December. “Now the games will be held from December 22-28 “,he added. The house decided that that the inter-college-collegiate will held here from November 8-12. “The last date for registration is October five and all the educational institutions have been informed in this regard “,he said.
