Election process to start as assembly completes tenure: Firdous
ISLAMABAD - Federal Minister for Regulations and Services Firdous Ashiq Awan has said that the election process would resume, when the assembly would complete its period.
Talking to media out side the Supreme Court on Tuesday, the minister said that the Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf has taken the decision living within the constitutional limits, and has chosen the med-line to resolve the issue.
She said that the country cannot move towards any confrontation, the government would complete its duration, the government allies and the opposition has to go for the election.
She said that all the un-cleared issues would be resolved according to the directives of the Supreme Court, while the democratic government would utilize all the constitutional options.
In a reply to a question she said that the former Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani had made a decision according to the law and the present Prime Minister would also make a decision living within the limits of the constitutions, she observed.
