Aptitude for higher edu enhancing in Sindh: Ibad

KARACHI - There has been an enhancement in aptitude towards acquisition of education in Sindh and increase in the number of universities substantiates this fact. This was stated by Sindh Governor Dr Ishrat-ul-Ebad Khan, while speaking at the stone-laying ceremony of the new gate of the University of Karachi as well as inauguration of the new administration block and building of the Department of Public Administration of the University of Karachi on Friday evening. He also visited various sections of the Karachi Institute of Heart Diseases and performed the inauguration of Fatima Surriya Bajia Park in Gulshan-i-Iqbal. The governor, who is also the chancellor of the public sector universities in the province, said it was a matter of pride that Karachi university is among the best institutions of higher learning internationally. This is because of the heard work put in by the faculty and the students. He assured that measures would be taken to steer the University of Karachi out of its financial difficulties. The Governor said that new projects would be undertaken for the betterment of the academic institutions and that cooperation would be extended to those youngsters who are keen to acquire knowledge.
