Nawaz Sharif condemns film as profane, deplorable, provocative
LAHORE - President Pakistan Muslim League-N, Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has said that profane film that presents a distorted view of Islam, was a highly deplorable and provocative step.
In his recent statement, he said that this despicable film was not only heart-wrenching for the Muslims of the world, but also a great setback to the humanism, which believes in peace, goodwill and mutual respect.
He said, that not only Islam, but also all the religions of the world, preached the lesson of respecting religious personalities and sacred signs, citing the fundamental teachings of Islam and Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him), which were based on mutual brotherhood and tolerance.
Nawaz hoped that all nations, which believe in humanism, peace and mutual goodwill should strongly discourage such nefarious acts that injure the feelings of others, or help promote extremism.

I saw parts of the movie and I found it rather comical. the problems with Muslims is they lack a sense of Humor. They can't stand anyone making jokes about them or their pedophile profilt Muhammad. Maybe Muhammad just wanted to be a father figure to his young bride. As for the movie, it's what we used to call a spaghetti movie or B grade. Had Muslims not gone ape shit over it, it wouldn't have been viewed by more then a few. Now the whole world has seen it.
You may make a movie about our president, prime minister, or any other personality. But sorry we cannot bear "humor" about our holy prophet. Yeah you may say we are ignorant and don't handle things with mind.
Did Nawaz actually see the movie? Whats a Muslim doing looking at a movie that he claims to mock the profit? You can bet that 99% of all the Muslim world has never seen the movie and never will. Yet all they need is for their Imam to say its time to riot, and out the door like a pack of wild wolves they run. Brainwashing at its best.
You are very right we need reforms. In actual culture of Islam there is no idea of Imam what most follow today. But now Imam is the brain washer. You are the civilized cultured people if u play with emotions than they play with weapons.
How many of western media is showing strikes by Israel to Gaza?
I bet they are reporting like 3 pages about some rockets falling in israeli areas and 3 lines about f 16 attacks on civilians of Gaza.
