Masood Khan to replace Hussain Abdullah in UN

MASOOD KHAN

ISLAMABAD - Pakistan ambassador to China Masood Khan will replace Hussain Abdullah Haroon as permanent envoy in UN.
As per media reports, Hussain Abdullah Haroon had completed his term at UN headquarters and it was expected Masood Khan would assume his new responsibilities in UN from next month.
Pakistan ambassador in Afghanistan, Mohammad Sadiq Khan may be appointed in place of Masood Khan in China but approval to his transfer has not been accorded so far.
Well placed sources said Masood Khan who was given extension twice in his service can be granted extension for the third time. His extension period is going to expire in February, 2013.
Masood Khan and Muhammad Sadiq Khan have performed the duties of foreign office spokesman in different times.
