Domki murder case: Report submitted to Sindh Police, says NCMS director

ISLAMABAD - The Supreme Court on Wednesday heard the case pertaining to the murder of the wife and daughter of Balochistan MPA Mir Bakhtiar Domki.
A three-judge bench of the apex court, led by Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry, heard the case over the murder that took place in Karachi on Jan 31, 2012, a private TV channel reported.
During the hearing, Director of the National Crisis Management Cell Masoodur Rehman appeared before the court.
Rehman informed the bench that an interim report over the murder case had been submitted to Sindh Police.
Subsequently, the bench adjourned the case’s hearing to Sept 28.
During the early hours of Jan 31, armed assailants killed Domki’s wife Jhumar, 32, daughter Janna, 13, and their driver on a deserted street in Karachi.
Earlier in February, investigators who interviewed the only witness to the targeted killing of Domki’s wife, daughter and driver, a young maid employed by the family, said they felt certain that the killings were carried out to convey a message to Brahmadagh Bugti, the grandson of the slain Nawab Akbar Bugti. Bugti is the President of the Baloch Republican Party and is now living in Zurich.
Domki’s wife was Brahmadagh Bugti’s sister.
The maid, apart from whom, there were no other witnesses to the gory killings, had narrated the incident to senior law-enforcement officers before she was handed over to the bereaved family hours after the attack.
