NA Standing Committee on Trade protests Amin Fahim’s absence

ISLAMABAD - The session of standing committee of National Assembly on trade was postponed in protest over absence of federal minister for commerce Makhdoom Amin Fahim here on Tuesday.
The committee chairman Engineer Khurram Dastagir presiding over the meeting said the federal minister for commerce told him over telephone that he could not attend the meeting due to heavy rains in Sindh.
During the meeting, the other members of the committee demanded the government to immediately withdraw trade concessions given to Indian because such trade was a treason to people of Kashmir.
The chairman of the committee said that Punjab chief minister had informed India's Foreign Minister SM Krishna during the meeting held in Lahore about attitude of India and thinking of Shiv Sena chief Bal Thackeray for Pakistan.
During Tuesday,s meeting, various topics including trade with India and commercial attaché appointed in foreign countries were to be discussed but due to adjournment now these matters would be discussed in the next session.
