Quetta car bombing

QUETTA - At least six people, including five security personnel, were killed when a suspected suicide bomber detonated his car near an army convoy on Qambrani Road of Quetta’s Sharifabad area on Saturday. According to local police, the blast occurred after security forces signaled a suspicious car to stop at a security checkpost.
However, the driver sped away from the post, forcing the security personnel to give a chase.
The driver opened fire on the security personnel, who retaliated, making the car driver to blow himself up.
Five security officials as well as the bomber were killed as a result. Meanwhile, law enforcement agencies cordoned off the area and found a vehicle full of explosives during a search operation. During the search operation, the Bomb Disposal Squad also found a hand grenade in the area which was immediately defused.
