Pakistan seeks trade not aid: Sherry Rehman

WASHINGTON - Ambassador to the United States Sherry Rehman has said that Pakistani-Americans are uniquely placed to help advance Pakistan-US relationship by fostering mutual understanding and strengthening trade.
Talking to a group of leading members of Houston based diaspora through video conferencing, she said Pakistan seeks expanded trade not aid. She said “we have been successful in getting preferential trade access to the European Union.”
Sherry Rehman said Pakistani-Americans role towards strengthening ties assumes greater significance this year as both Democratic and Republicans are engaged in election campaign.

    Yes, the trade is for common people and Aid is for ruling elite.
