Military action of no use in terror war: Imran Khan
KARACHI - Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan has expressed grave concern over the terrorists’ assault at Kamra Airbase, which is situated at a high security zone.
Talking to media persons here on Thursday, Imran Khan said that use of force and military action against terrorism was not a solution to the problem.
To a question regarding potential North Waziristan operation, he said that he thought that the operation would fuel terrorism in the country.
The PTI chairman said that he was unable to understand as to why the decision to launch the operation has been taken.
Imran Khan said that even there was huge difference between the Pentagon and US State Department over war on terror.
“How long would we keep fighting for the US for sake of money,” he said, and added the 40,000 Pakistanis have been killed in the attack.

i can’t understand why our political parties in parliament are silent,why are they reluctant to start debate,our media also has become dumb and deaf

Khan Sahib, please do not use NW operation for your personal gains. Come forward with some courage and mediate between the Government and the terrorists. Your crdibility will imporve. Just criticising the president and pm does not serve any good.
Same is true for PMLN and other parties.

Imran —the more you speak the more one doubts your political maturity. What do you mean by the term"grave concern" over the attack over the airbase? Why don't you condem it outright.
We are not concerned what the State Dept or the defence Dept. of another country says about war on terror—-it is a war on the state of Pakistan which should concern us. May be it's one of your off days in Ramzan. Hypoglycemia does funny things to the brain!

Instead of criticizing Imran, we must enlist the factors which are responsible for Terrorism in our country. I beleive, when we use our forces to kill our people just to protect the NATO forces, same response will be reciprocated as we suffered today. We should understand that When American and its allies are putting their whole efforts to bring their worst enemy “Taliban” on negotiation table why we are initiating operation instead of following the NATO policies.
I humbly disagree. We have been up to our neck in Afghanistan since 1979 following orders. Where have we ended up.? Americans and it's allies want to go home and leave Afghanistan to the Victorious Taliban. Have they asked our opinion other than ' either you are with us or against us" They are indulging in appeasement to get out. Shall we do the same? Entering into negotiations without doing justice to your cause amounts to surrender in disguise. Pakistan is a expert at it. Let us ask ourselves what is good for our country and deal from there.
Following Nato policies is not the answer. Did they listen to us when they decided to attack Afghanistan. Are they listening to us when we ask them to stop drone attacks. We are perceived as weak and we are paying the price. Are you condoning the attack on the base? Come clean!

Being a politician who aspires to hold office one day, it is very important for Imran Khan to address the very valid questions of what his policies in addressing the terrorism issue and codependence on the U.S, as opposed to merely publicly criticising the current strategies being applied by the govt. That said, a number of other factors are involved that are intertwined with these issues, it cannot be isolated from the current scene of global politics.
I have begun to seriously doubt this man's political acumen and maturity.

Did anyone think that the attacks on kamra may have been planted to mold public opinion in favour of upcoming operation in NW Agency? We never knew the identification of the attackers of Mehran base, but how come govt. was so quick to identify 4 of the Kamra attackers from NW Agency?
And Rehman Malik was so quick to say that this was not done by condemned TTP, despite of the fact that they claimed responsibility for this attack…. Maybe since the condemned TTP comes from SW Agency, and govt wants to murder people in NW Agency, so they simply denied that TTP is not involved…
Are we so naive that we don't see the obvious connections? Weren't drones enough to kill Pakistani citizens in NW Agency that now even our own "Security Forces" are going to kill innocent Pakistanis? Whom are we securing? Can we live with the fact that our tax money is used to kill our own brothers and sisters? Where the F#@$ is PTI and that so called Tsunami Khan, for w

My friend I will have to disagree with you and all the people here who are in favour of bombing and destrying FATA area. Before the war on 'terror' and 2003 there were no suicide attacks in Pakistan. All the taliban activity started in pakistan after our military started bombing in wazeristan and other FATA areas.
The pakistani politicians make extremely bad decision to bomb these people and causing collateral dammage. I want to ask you one question if someone bombed your house and killed all your family (god forbid)…would you pick up a gun if you couldn't get justice in courts?
There are extremist people all over the world, but no on bombs their own people. It is time to have a dialogue with taliban. And listen to their side of the story.
