By boycotting the elections in NA250, it has become clear like a bright sunny day that what agenda MQM follows and how much they believe in democratic process. All the time they wail about Punjab that there prevails the politics of Bradaries, Chaudharies and Jagirdars and it shows their prejudice against Punjab. Will anyone of them answer: Are not they doing politics on ethnic basis? If not, why still after 35 years of their politics they have gained no popularity in Punjab, KPK and Balochistan.

Sajid Mehdi of PML(N) won the seat from this Halka... and Ishaq Khakwani requested for a recount. The returning officer was told by the ECP to give the recount results by 20th May. So, this news, that Ishaq Khakwani has lost after a recount is not true :). just saw it on Geo as well.

MQM Chickening out of a democratic contest - maybe they never believed in it to start with, maybe they've their own definition of democratic contest!!!!! In realpolitik terms they're trying to save their winnings - no doubt the status quo is mountainous. But the real moot point is - for how long???? Let assure you that it'll be less than five years and most probably 1-3/4 to 2-1/4 years :-)
