Two smugglers killed at Wagah border

LAHORE - Punjab Rangers killed two smugglers attempting to traverse Wagah Border into India; while, two others have been arrested after a scuffle, officials said on Saturday.
According to Rangers officials, unusual movements were spotted last night at Indo-Pak border. The personnel of Punjab Rangers challenged the suspected people to freeze; but they scuttled towards India.
The Rangers personnel, after a hot chase, opened gunfire on smugglers, killing two of them on the spot; while, two others were taken into custody.
Tanveer and Salamat are said to be the names of arrested men.
Meantime, two other smugglers, taking leverage of darkness, scampered away to Indian border.
Indian liquor in huge quantity along with other articles was seized from the possession of miscreants.
