NATO truck set ablaze, two injured

QUETTA - Armed men ambushed a NATO supply container in Dasht area, some 15 kilometers away from Quetta, injuring two men before torching the vehicle on Friday. According to the Levies, unidentified gunmen started shooting at the supply truck with sophisticated weapons. As a result, the vehicle’s driver Abdul Rehman, a resident of Mianwali, and cleaner Muhammad Naheem, a resident of Sahiwal, sustained serious injuries. Later the assailants dismounted the driver and the cleaner from the truck, sprinkled petrol over it and set it ablaze before escaping from the site. Officials say that the container was going to Kandahar from Karachi via Chaman border.
