Rains, wind rejuvenate Upper Punjab

ISLAMABAD - Heavy showers accompanied by a cool breeze early on Thursday turned the weather of most upper Punjab cities pleasant and inspired citizens to come out of their homes to enjoy the day.
According to details, Gujranwala, Gujjar Khan, Rawalpindi, Islamabad and the adjoining areas received rain which brought a pleasant change in weather.
According to Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), 45 millimeters of rain was recorded at Islamabad’s Zero Point, 29 mm at Hokra, 18 mm in Saidpur, 5 mm in Chaklala and 29 mm in Shamsabad.
The Met further said that the rainy spell was likely to continue for two more days in the city.
