Balochistan doctors strike: Patients continue to suffer

QUETTA - Dr Ghulam Rasool was abducted by unknown when he was on his way home from Bolan Medical College hospital, due to which Young Doctors Association, Baloch Doctors Forum, and Paramedical Staff Association endorsed the strike call given by the Pakistan Medical Association for an indefinite period.
Outdoor patient departments (OPDs) in the Quetta hospitals remained closed on Thursday and have entered ninth consecutive day causing great inconvenience to the poor patients hailing from far-flung areas and hundreds of patients who were seen awaited outside the OPDs in the scorching heat in the civil and BMC hospitals.
The doctors have vowed to continue boycotting the OPDs unless the missing doctor is recovered.
