PTI refuses to attend MQM’s APC

pti mqm

LAHORE - A Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) delegation on Tuesday met leaders of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) as part of its efforts to evolve consensus on convening an All Parties Conference to resolve problems facing the country.
MQM delegation led by federal minister Farooq Sattar and comprising Raza Haroon and Wassay Jalil held talks with PTI president Javed Hashmi and vice chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi.
According to media reports, PTI has decided that it would not attend any APC hosted by the MQM. TV reports said, PTI leaders said the party would not partake in any APC convened by the coalition partners of the government. A private television channel claimed that Imran Khan’s absence from the meeting was a clear indication that PTI would not attend the APC.
MQM leader Farooq Sattar had invited the PTI chairman Imran Khan to visit Nine Zero in Karachi. Flanked by PTI leaders Shah Mehmood Qureshi and Javed Hashmi at a joint press talk, he said political contacts by Muttahida leaders are intended to steer the country out of current difficult phase, adding the country is facing internal and external challenges.
