Mian Abdul Quddus, who lives in Lahore, has been collecting radios and other equipment since 1947, BBC news reported.
His love of all things audio and visual means he now has three rooms in his house filled with contraptions - all of them in good working order.
“This British-made radio is 80 years old. I liked to listen to sound. I used to listen to radio and all. This was the first radio I bought, I bought radiograms. I bought Lord Mountbatten’s radio and I also bought all the old radios I could find in my neighbourhood. I place ads in the newspapers and then people contact me by telling me that they have an old sound gadget. I go to them and I buy it from them. I also buy equipments from abroad to repair my radios. My children don’t approve of my collection. They ask, what is it worth?” Quddus said.
“No gadget in my collection is a waste. All of them are in working condition,” he added. Quddus is getting old in years and worries about the fate of his collection after he passes away.
