Dying peacocks

Recently, a lethal virus attacked peacocks killing them as the media has highlighted the issue. Wildlife department officials have also visited the villages where these peacock deaths have occurred. They have established a camp to tackle the issue. But, unfortunately, the team is not well-equipped and prepared, as usual.
It has no capability to diagnose the disease properly and take effective measures to save this beautiful bird. Dozens of peacocks have reportedly died and more are dying.
The authorities concerned should take the matter seriously and arrange for a technical and vet team on an urgent basis to protect the beauty of Thar.
