Robbers in cops’ uniform rob woman of Rs 1.2m

ISLAMABAD - Impersonators wearing Punjab police uniform robbed a woman of valuables worth Rs 1.2 million in the jurisdiction of Lohi Bhear police station. As per details, Shahzad Begum of Pakistan Town lodged a complaint with the police that at night she received a phone call that her son had an accident and he was in hospital. After listening to the call, she immediately left for hospital. Upon her return, she found that her house had been looted and items worth over Rs 1.2 million, including jewellery and cash, had been taken away. The neighbours told the woman that they saw two men in Punjab police uniform, entering her house by scaling the wall and fled after looting the house. The police have registered a case and started investigations.
