Cabinet approves NATO supplies contract

ISLAMABAD - Federal Cabinet has approved the agreement regarding reopening of the NATO supplies.
The meeting of Federal Cabinet was held under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf in which the copy of reopening of NATO supplies was presented.
After the approval, the copies of the contract were taken back from the ministers so as to keep secrecy till the final decision. After the agreement is implemented, all the legal hurdles in the way of NATO supplies will be removed.
The prime minister said while speaking to cabinet that peaceful Afghanistan is imperative for the regional peace and Pakistan always desires good relations.=
He told the cabinet members that he invited the Afghan President Hamid Karzai to visit Pakistan. He said that his recent tour of Afghanistan remained very successful.
The current trade volume between Pakistan and Afghanistan is about US$11 billion and the provision of multiple visas would further enhance the volume.
