Malik Riaz records statement before JIT at NAB HQs
ISLAMABAD - Malik Riaz Hussain appeared before the JIT at NAB HQs on Friday and recorded his statement. He was examined by the members of JIT with regard to his allegations against Arsalan Iftikhar Chaudhry.
He has been given a detailed questionnaire which is to be returned duly filled by him by 24-7-2012. Malik Riaz submitted evidence to substantiate his contention. He has sought further time to provide additional documentary and other evidence in respect to alleged questionable and illegal transactions.
The JIT has summoned Arsalan Iftikhar Chaudhary, Salman Ahmed and Ahmed Khalil on 23-07-2012 for recording the statements. Inspectors General Police Islamabad Capital Territory and Punjab have been asked to ensure service of notices on the said individuals.
Members of JIT will soon visit UK and UAE for collection of foreign evidence. The scope of inquiry has broadened on the basis of evidence placed before the JIT.
