Newly-built bus stops tell a miserable story

LAHORE - The City District Government Lahore (CDGL) had failed to maintain a public welfare project of placement of wooden benches especially at the bus stops along Jail Road, Shahra e Quaid-i-Azam and the adjoining roads, Pakistan Today learnt on Thursday. The project was meant to facilitate the bus travelers to wait in the shade. Before this, the passengers had to stand under the scorching sun and heavy rains waiting long for buses and other vehicles. But it’s an unfortunate fact that the CDGL had no plan to maintain the newly built bus stops. The sheer ignorance had caused serious damage to the facility as some criminal elements had broken wooden benches and also the sheds. When contacted, a CDGL official said there were complaints of damaged wooden benches at various bus stops and ensured that the same would be repaired soon.

I agree with Asif and Tahir

  3. Tahir says:

Few thugs have more power than the power of the masses. Shame on us, we blike blaming others. The person who wrote this article has no common sense that his article is not making people aware but making them feel as a victim. Shame.
