Indian big-wigs pay tribute to Rajesh Khanna
Prime Minister Manmohan Singh paid tribute to the legendary actor. He offered his condolences saying, “I convey my heartfelt condolences to the members of the bereaved family and countless fans and admirers of Shri Rajesh Khanna.” Congress President Sonia Gandhi too expressed her deep sorrow & grief on the demise of Rajesh Khanna, expressed her heartfelt condolences. Cricketer Sanjay Manjrekar recalled the magical combination of Rajesh Khanna and Kishore Kumar saying, “Aradhana, I guess, achieved super stardom for both Kishore Kumar & Rajesh Khanna...magical combination of Indian cinema...sigh.” Cricketer Yuvraj Singh added, “Sad to hear about Mr Rajesh Khanna I hope his soul rests in peace!” Veteran actor Shabana Azmi said, “He was the SUPERSTAR like no other. Did 10 films with him. Met him last at Apsara awards. Pale shadow of himself but smile as winsome RIP Rajesh Khanna.”
