Now contempt of parliament as well!

Munawar-Hassan-JI-leader

KARACHI - Amir Jamat-e-Islami Pakistan (JI) Munawar Hassan has said that the resumption of the NATO supply line is disrespect of the Parliament and Difa-e-Pakistan Council would continue protest till its closure.
Talking to newspapers editors and reporters here on Saturday, he said the government had committed contempt of the parliament by hasty judgment on NATO routes restoration. He said America was in economical pressure due to closure of NATO supplies, however, our leaders could not bear the pressure from Washington, he claimed.
Hassan said they had reservations on some parts of the resolution presented in the parliament but they accepted the resolution, although the government did not executed its own formed resolution.
In response to a question he said they would continue its protest demonstration on democratic way but not on a gunpoint, to build pressure on the government to shut the NATO supply routes.
He claimed the PPP-led government had been violating the judicial orders for the last four years and now the people would not accept the PPP’ stance on contempt of court.
He stated that the only way to bring a change in the country was through transparent elections which the JI also believed in. The people first elect their representative without any thought and then start blaming them, he added. Hassan said it was premature to say anything about the future of Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal, adding had friendly terms with PML-N and PTI and nothing could be predicted about the outcome of elections.
