YDA calls off strike

YDA-1

Lahore - The Young Doctors Association (YDA) on Sunday announced calling off its strike, adding that all doctors would resume indoor and outdoor duties from Monday (today). Addressing a press conference in Lahore, the YDA representatives said the decision of ending the strike had been taken in the light of the Lahore High Court orders. They said the court had ordered a halt to victimisation of the doctors by the Punjab government. The young doctors said they would not withdraw their demand of service structure, however, adding that they would announce a further strategy in the meeting of their general council after the court proceedings on Monday (today).
