Militant commander Qari Basit arrested

BATGRAM - Police on Monday arrested Qari Basit, a militant commander, and his aide Ihazul Haq and recovered a huge cache of weapons from their possession.
According to District Police Officer (DPO), they were arrested from Kocgage area of Battagram.
The arms and ammunition included an anti-aircraft gun, 7 Kalashnikov, 115 kg explosive material, 22 hand-grenades, 22 suicide jackets and 4 pressure-cooker bomb.
He told that Qari Basit was Fazlullah’s commander for Battagram, Mansehra and adjacent areas and planned attack on Amir Muqman.
