48 murder cases traced this year

ISLAMABAD - The city police on Tuesday claimed to have traced 36 murder cases, including 12 blind murder cases, during the current year, a police spokesman said.
He said the IGP had directed all police officers to give priority to investigation of murder cases and book the culprits. Following these directions, Islamabad police worked hard to trace the blind murder cases and succeeded in tracing 36 murders after collecting forensic as well as other vital evidences. Every available resource and latest investigation techniques were used to resolve these cases. Due to these efforts, the city zone traced four murder cases and Saddar zone 11 murder cases, the spokesman said. He further said that the industrial area zone police traced four murder cases while the rural zone traced 17 murder cases. A total of 81 accused were arrested due to their involvement in these murder cases and challans of these cases were submitted in courts after arresting the culprits and collection of evidences against them.
