Quetta observes shutter-down strike against carnage

QUETTA - On appeal from Hazara Democratic Party (HDP), the city observed shutter-down strike against the formidable attack on a bus leaving 13 passengers dead on Thursday.
Complete shutter-down strike was observed in the city’s areas including Alamdar Road, Mariabad, Hazara Town and Toghi Road. The commercial centers and business hubs remained closed in all significant areas including Jinnah Road, Mission Road and Liaqatabad.
Numerous social and political parties including Jamaat-e-Islami (JI), Balochistan National Party-Mengal (BNP-Mengal) and National Party supported the strike call.
Meantime, Majlis Wahdat-e-Muslimeen and Balochistan Shia Conference announced three-day mourning against the tragedy.
The investigation into the incident is in progress.
