FC kills four militants in Hangu
HANGU - Up to four militants were killed in retaliatory fire of the Frontier Corps (FC) while three FC personnel also sustained injuries when their check post in Dhand area came under attack of the militants on Friday.
Sources said that militants armed with automatic weapons attacked security forces check post in Dhand area of Hangu inflicting injuries on three security forces personnel. The attack was repulsed with heavy retaliatory fire of the FC personnel.
In retaliatory fire, four militants were killed besides injuries on others, however, it was difficult to confirm the report independently because the area is prohibited for the media coverage.
Later on an operation was launched by the FC personnel in the area in which heavy machine guns and other weapons were also recovered from different hideouts.
