ISLAMABAD - Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf has said that the government believed the country would get rid of load shedding and 2,000 megawatt of electricity had already been added to the national grid due to corrective measures ordered by him. However, the prime minister did not give a timeline as to when this would happen. Ashraf said this while talking to Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid President Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain and Deputy Prime Minister Chaudhry Pervez Elahi at the PM House on Wednesday.
The PML-Q leaders reiterated their determination to continue support to the coalition democratic government, as it would ensure continuity and evolution of the political process in the country. The prime minister said, “We would overcome the challenges faced by the country with the support of allies at this difficult time.”
