PM directs Bilour to rehabilitate Railways
ISLAMABAD - Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf has asked the Railways Minister to put in his best efforts for rehabilitation of Pakistan Railways.
Prime Minister gave the direction when Haji Ghulam Ahmad Bilour called on him here on Thursday.
Prime Minister directed the Minister to give a presentation early next month with a roadmap for rehabilitation of Railways. He said Railways is the most important and cheap source of transportation and its revival is one of his major priorities.
He assured that the government would take all steps to make Pakistan Railways a vibrant orgnaization.
Haji Ghulam Ahmad Bilour apprised the Prime Minister that 02 rails carrying 99 oil tankers of furnace oil have reached Lalpir, main storage depot of PSO, from Karachi port and other 5 rails carrying 200 oil tankers are on their way.
The furnace oil will be supplied to power plants to generate electricity aimed at ending the unscheduled loadshedding across the country.
