Naheed sets out to take disgruntled PPP workers under her wings

LAHORE - Pakistan People’s Party leader and Benazir Bhutto’s former political secretary Naheed Khan on Sunday decided to constitute a ‘Functional Pressure Group’ within the party.
Naheed said she would formally start door to door campaign in the mid of July to convince the angry workers of PPP to play their ideological role in the best interest of the country on the lines of Shaheed leaders.
Naheed said the Shaheed leaders were the life and soul of party workers. She said the gap between party ministers and workers had created a sense of uncertainty among party stalwarts and it needed to be filled.
She said that there was no room for those who had confiscated the respect of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto and Benazir Bhutto’s PPP. “We would try our level best to free the party from the occupants.” Naheed said that the assassination of BB was a great conspiracy which should be disclosed at any cost. Criticizing the current party leadership, she said the present PPP rulers wanted to remain in power despite caring and resolving the problems of the masses. She said, “We want a probe into the assassination of Benazir because the delay is frustrating the party workers,” adding those who had sold the graves of Bhutto family they do not have concern with the Party.
