SHC asked to order PM to write to Swiss

KARACHI - An application was filed in the Sindh High Court (SHC) on Saturday seeking direction for the new prime minister to write the letter to the Swiss authorities. After making Raja Pervez Ashraf party to the case, applicant Iqbal Haider said it was clear from the Supreme Court’s judgement that every prime minister was bound to write to the Swiss authorities for the reopening of graft cases against President Asif Ali Zardari.
“Therefore, the court should direct newly elected prime minister to write to Swiss officials and if he doesn’t write then it should be taken as a violation of court orders,” the petitioner said. The constitutional application will be heard on Monday.
