Gunmen kill 3, wound 10 in 24 hrs

Shooting incidents, in various parts of Karachi within the last 24 hours, left at least three people dead and ten injured, reported a private TV channel. According to SSP South Asif Ijaz Shaikh, police in its drive to put brakes on the rampant violet crime apprehended no less than 37 suspects who were bearing all sorts of handheld firearms by the time of their arrest. Police sources said that extortionists, target killers, and street criminal were among the suspects locked behind the bars in the last 24 hours. The firearms recovered from the malefactors included a couple of pump action shotguns, two AK-47s, 17 pistols, and 79 bullets, the sources added.
