PPP paid the price for ridiculing judiciary: Nawaz

SWAT - PML-N President Nawaz Sharif on Wednesday said the PPP had paid the price for ridiculing judiciary.
Addressing a public gathering in Swat, Nawaz said Yousaf Raza Gilani’s “unwise behaviour” had cost him his premiership, adding that he had to go home as a result of unfair treatment he meted out to judges.
“Congratulations to the Pakistani nation on this historic occasion. I had said in my first interview that Gilani was no more prime minister after April 26, and if we had remained silent, Gilani would still have been the prime minister.” He said Gilani should have rejected the premiership and should have stood with the nation, adding that if he had, he could have gone home with honour and dignity. “Now he went home humiliated,” the PML-N chief said.
Criticising the PPP government, Nawaz said the people had not voted for them to create troubles for them, adding that the government of President Asif Ali Zardari had plundered the country day and night. Criticising the coalition partners of the government, Nawaz said he had told them to use their common sense before shaking hands with the Zardari government. “How can one make coalition with the government which had earned a bad name for Pakistan and has destroyed the future of its youth? Everyone can see what happened to Pakistan under this leadership,” he said. Congratulating Amir Muqam by choosing the “right” political party, he said, “I have respect for Amir Muqam and he is my brother.”
Defending accusations leveled against the PML-N of being a friendly opposition to the PPP, Nawaz said his party has only focused on serving the people and ignored allegations.
Talking about Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Nawaz asked the gathering what had happened in Swat under the coalition of the PPP and the ANP? “A successful military operation had destroyed the terrorist infrastructure here.”
Nawaz also criticised PTI Chairman Imran Khan, calling him a “hijacker of youth”.
Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly‚ Nisar Ali Khan also addressed the gathering, saying new elections would bring a green revolution in the country.
He said “those who talk about tsunamis are not aware of real politics”.

Nawaz Sharif a known “purchaser” of judges is now talking in a strange tune. Remember Quetta with Rafiq Tarrar flying in with cash for Irshad Hassan Khan? And then supporting Khawaja Sharif and Ramday? God help this country if this is the leadership we have.
