KARACHI - The Sindh information department would be streamlined on modern lines.
This was stated by Sindh Minister for Information Sharjeel Inam Memon.
He was presiding over a meeting of the senior officers of Sindh Information Department here on Wednesday.
Sharjeel said that the Sindh Information Department would be streamlined on modern lines so that the governmental news be disseminated promptly to media especially the electronic media. He also asked the senior officials of the Department to direct the Information Officers to strengthen their contacts with the media persons.
The minister said that detailed information of development projects be communicated to the media so as to project the government activities especially the details regarding public welfare schemes.
The meeting was also attended by the Sindh Information Secretary, Qazi Shahid Pervez, Director General Public Relations Sindh, Dr Zulfiqar Ali Shalwani.
