Solo show of landscape, figurative imagery concludes

ISLAMABAD - The solo show of paintings by Maryam Rusal, daughter of the late legendary artist Ghulam Rasul (GR), concluded here Monday, featuring landscape and figurative imagery at Jharoka Art Gallery.
The exhibition brought over 30 oil paintings that the artist created to pay tribute to the services of her father in the field of visual art. Maryam showed her inspiration from Legendary Landscape Painter through vibrant hues and capturing nature. Her vibrant colors and simple expressions were the most noted factors of her work as she was inspired by day to day things, her style of painting can be related to her father. Maryam focussed on still life, landscape and figurative composition as main theme with a complete command on medium. She followed the spirit of GR’s dialogues with nature that contained refreshing mustard fields, autumn in Islamabad, Saidpur Village, Skardu Fort, Village Life, Harvesting, Himalayas and many more aspects of nature.
