Government to form team to probe Arsalan–Malik Riaz case: AG

ISLAMABAD - The government has decided to form an investigation team to probe the case of Malik Riaz and Arsalan Iftikhar, according to a statement issued by the office of Attorney General Irfan Qadir on Friday. He claimed that Geo News (TV channel) and The News (newspaper) had “misreported” the hearing of the Speaker’s ruling case in the Supreme Court on Thursday. Qadir, who misbehaved with the SC judges and made vulgar hand gestures at them, also alleged that Geo and The News “always misreported” issues. The Supreme Court of Pakistan on Thursday threw the ball in the government’s court by directing it to take strict action against Arsalan Iftikhar, Malik Riaz and his son-in-law for indulging in corruption.
