When Shahid took jabs at Anil ‘Mr India’ Kapoor

Mumbai - Looks like Anil Kapoor reprised his ‘Mr India’ act at the recently concluded IIFA awards at Singapore. Despite being present at earlier press conferences and pre-award events in the country, Anil Kapoor decided to give the main awards ceremony in Singapore a miss. The host of the evening, Shahid Kapoor made sure that the actor’s absence didn’t go unnoticed and kept taking jabs at the actor’s disappearing act throughout the evening. Shahid kept pointing at a chair with Anil’s name pasted on it and calling him Mr India during his Vicky Donor spoof. Anil’s brother Boney Kapoor and sister-in-law Sridevi, who were present in the audience, looked a bit uncomfortable all throughout Sasha’s act. Anil was seen promoting the award few weeks back with Bipasha Basu and even attended a press conference with Shahid, Prabhu Deva and Sonakshi Sinha to announce the list of performers at the awards night. But strangely, Anil was busy shooting in Turkey on the awards night. Many suggest that Shahid’s behaviour was perhaps due to his long standing cold war with Sonam Kapoor. While shooting for ‘Mausam’, Sonam had thrown quite a few tantrums on the sets and delayed the film’s release. The film was directed by Shahid’s father, actor Pankaj Kapoor. So was Shahid seeking revenge from dad Anil for daughter Sonam’s behaviour?
