‘Govt only interested in corruption’

Rana Sanaullah 2

LAHORE - Law Minister Rana Sanaullah said on Tuesday that before criticizing the welfare projects of Punjab government, Raja Riaz should look into the performance of federal government, which is interested only in corruption and plunder.
He said that people of Pakistan were facing worst load shedding, price-hike and unemployment due to inefficiency, mismanagement and loot of the federal government.
Commenting on the statement of Raja Riaz, Rana Sanaullah said it did not suit them who have pushed the country to the verge of disaster to talk of welfare of the people. He said the corrupt rulers of the federation had given nothing except hunger, poverty, price-hike and load shedding to the masses.
He said that Raja Riaz should know that contrary to the federal government, the budget of Punjab had been prepared with the consultation of the members of Punjab Assembly. He said Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif held separate meetings with the elected representatives of all divisions of the province and consulted those regarding budgetary proposals.
He said those opposing laptop scheme should remember that following Punjab government, KPK government had also decided to launch this scheme and allocated funds for this purpose in the budget.
He said record development funds had been allocated in the budget for all areas of the province including South Punjab and developmental activities were continuing in different parts of the province without discrimination.
He said that Rs 84 billion would be spent on the provision of medical facilities in the province during current fiscal year while a sum of Rs 6.5 billion had been allocated for Punjab Education Foundation.
