PM rules out reference against CJ

ISLAMABAD - Prime Minister Syed Yousaf Raza Gillani has said that there is no need for sending a reference against Chief Justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry.
Talking to newsmen here on Monday‚ he declined to make comments on Arsalan Iftikhar's case.
Earlier addressing the two-day Vice Chancellors Forum‚ Prime Minister Gillani said budget allocation for promotion of education has been increased to explore true potential of youth.
He said the government gives top priority to the education sector and will make maximum investment in it.
The Prime Minister urged Muslim countries to invest greatly in the education sector particuarly in the Science and Technology for the prosperous future of their people.
He pointed out that Muslims constitute one quarter of the world population but their share in the world GDP is less than twelve percent.
He said the Muslim countries can compete with the developed world only by investing in the human resource development.
He said the Muslim countries are facing daunting challenges and therefore it is imperative that we work together to overcome the problems.
