ISLAMABAD - Counsel for Malik Riaz, Zahid Bukhari, on Saturday sent an application to the Supreme Court (SC) requesting the formation of a larger bench to hear the suo motu case pertaining to allegations against Arsalan Iftikhar, son of Chief Justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry.
The application also requested that the bench be formed on the basis of judges’ seniority.
He said Riaz was abroad for medical treatment which was why the documents pertaining to the matter had not been made available to him.
The Supreme Court has been hearing the notice about the bribes allegedly given to the chief justice’s son by Riaz.

Justice cannot be done as long as Iftikhar is Chief Justice. It is just like Iftikhar does not trust FIA to investigate cases of PM's sons properly.
During proceedings Iftikhar placed Holy Qoran in front of him and swore he did not know anything about what his son does for a living. This is blatant lie and speaks volumes about his moral level. His whole family used to travel to Europe for vacations and he did not know. Come on Iftikhar, even a Supreme Court peon is not expected to make this kind of denials.
Iftikhar has been passing strong remarks about sons of other important people and has never been willing to believe that their fathers were not involved. Same principle has to apply here.
There are many big & rich politics who claim they have no house and no car. Everybody including judges mock them. Iftikhar says he has no house and no car. It is a story worth mocking a hundred times more because it is coming from a judge (with the Holy Qoran in front of him) who is expected to deliver justice.
There is only one acceptable option for Iftikhar now : RESIGN! RESIGN! RESIGN!!!

Where are those commentators who used to put up numerous comments here on alleged corruption of Zardari/Gilani and always demanded resignation from them. Now they seem to have disappeared from this newspaper. Come on guys and show the courage to demand resignation from CJ as well. Read the above column and demand resignation from CJ. How come a CJ without his house did not know at all about lavish life style of his son? Did he never see his son? Come on guys where r u gone?

  3. Iftikhar says:

People who believed every story relating to corruption of other politicians and never believed whatever they said about declared assets of other politicians and demanded resignation from them should now apply the same standard to CJ as well.

  4. Haughty says:

CJ did not own a house and a car and knows not where to live after retirement and still does not know about lavish life style of his son and his closest members of his family going to Europe again and again, and CJ not knowing even a bit about that!!!!! How come? Unbelievable!

  5. @ZKalanauri says:

CJ will not accept this requst———————

  7. Haughty says:

Why isw not easy for him buy smaller bench? He bought CJ's son. What is more difficult? Why not you demand CJ's resignation now?
