Ephedrine case: ANF arrests ex-DG Health

ISLAMABAD - Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) Friday arrested former Director General Health Dr. Asad Hafeez in ephedrine quota case.
According to the media reports, the ANF had summoned Asad Hafeez at the regional headquarters to record his statement, however, he could not satisfy the investigation officer during the interrogation. On this, he was arrested.
It should be mentioned here that Asad Hafeez was called for interrogation in the light of statements by PM Gilani’s Principal Secretary Khushnood Lashari and other officers.

    the poor guy is innocent. main culprits are still at large. why not arrest Dr Rashid Juma.

      Yes all responsibles should be arrested along with innocent specially those idiots who are involved. I have a question why this innocent didn't take notice when he was appointed as DG. This is his irresponsibility he will have to pay off that proves his equal involvement.___

    Tragedy 2012.people with caliber and character like asad hafeez are asset of this country.he is innocent beyond any doubt.

    Assad Hafeez is a great academician and a leader without any doubt. They way he has steered the public health organization, HSA, is laudable. He needs to go back to his organization which needs him very badly

    I was very upset when I came to know about Dr. Asad Hafeez arrest. Very sad to see that innocent people like Dr. Asad are going through this situation.
